Last Saturday I bought a 91 Toyota pickup. 4x4 extended cab. Factory flat silver with removable clear coat lol.

It has 201k on it. It is currently not drivable. Bought it from the second owner who has had it for the last 18 years! It's one of the cleanest interiors on a truck of this age I've seen. It has next to no rust on it. PO said it blew out the block heater and needs a head gasket.
I spent about an hour getting it running today to confirm the head gasket. It had a dead battery, fuel fouled spark plugs, and a little bit of bad gas in the tank. Seems to be running strong on all four. So this weekend I'll pop the head off and replace the gasket and maybe slap a set of chains in there! All and all its a pretty clean truck and I'm real excited to have it join my family

I was pretty happy how clean the PO had kept the engine bay.
it's silly how easy these toyotas are to work on!! When I had the head off and cleaned up I found it had about a .009" warp to the head. So I need to take it to a machine shop and have then deck it flat next week.
one of the chain guides was completely gone and the chain wearing through the timing cover! So now I'm putting a chain set on it for sure. I also will pull the oil pan to check the oil pick up screen to make sure the chain guide isn't clogging that up. I've seen that kill way to many 1.8t turbos!

lots of nasty chain guides hanging out in there but on a good note they stayed in big enough parts that they didn't clog up the oil pump pick up screen.
