020 AGB tranny question
The backup sensor switches on these two tranny s are different but they are the same code as above. As you can see from the picture there are two styles of plugs. CE1? CE2? The one on the left is out of an 87 GTI, the right is an 88. Both 16v cars. Needed to get to the bottom of this before i start my wiring harness stuff. Trever, Brandon, Renty?????? holla
Second off, Can I totally delete this because of the digifiz I will be running. Dont believe there is a reverse/upshift display? Josh just made a valid point as well. Would this be for the reverse lights? thanks again

Re: 020 AGB tranny question
It is for reverse lights only.
Are you sure they are both the stock trannys? I'm thinking one is a MK1 020 and one is a MK2 020.

It's for reverse lights. If you don't want reverse lights don't connect it.

Re: 020 AGB tranny question
disregard the delete part of it... everyone needs backup lights. I thought it was only for the display on the instrument cluster. Once i get them back from the media blaster, im going to re look up the codes. But Im a 100% positive that they are both 100mm flange 020 AGB trannys

Re: 020 AGB tranny question
Back up lights are a good thing. Up Shift indicator is usually vacuum. I think some of those switches also do neutral and 5th for the UP shift too.
It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.
