upper strut tower

well for the past coulpe of months i have been looking for a upper front strut tower for my b5 passat with no luck on a vender ... i have seen them on B5 club an passat world but with no luck on where to buy one. i stared looking in to B5 audis with some luck i konw the have some what of the same tower an second fire wall set up but not quite sure yet... i dont want to spend the money then sit on it because it doesnt work... i have have been looking in to building one but there not much room to work with in that area... but it can be done i have noticed. any help or site to go look at will be helpfull thank you!

did you contact any of the guys on those sites with the towers and see where they got them from?

i have tryed an no luck back yet.. all i have noteiced is they are saying they got them from a audi A4 an there a lil snuggggg...

The A4 sport and ultrasport packages have the strut bar, and they also have the mounting tabs welded to the body. The non-sport versions do not have the tab. I would first look to see if you have the tabs - if you do, then just order part 8D0 805 645 A (20) which is the cross support made for the B5 Passat (see below).



The mounting tabs, if you need them, are:
8D0 803 357 A (18)
8D0 803 358 A (19)

The bar bolts to the tabs using one M8x20 bolt per side (21).
