Yeah, most A4 guys can push about 350chp from their motor before having issues with rods. For instance, the APR Stage III kits put down 330+hp and plenty of guys run those on kits on stock motors with no issues whatsoever because the torque doesn't spike harshly like some other tunes have been known to do. Torque spikes are a rods worst nightmare lol

Small update :

Yesterday I drained all the old fuel out of the tank, cuz this thing has been sitting for a year now :( Put in some new fuel, new spark plugs and she fired up on the first try. I do love when things go smoothly, but things aren't quite as smooth as I'd like. Misfires on cylinders 1&2. But luckily for me I had decided to purchase my own copy of VAG-COM a few months ago and got to hunting around with that. Turns out, the ECU power relay is crapping out so I've got one of those on the way. If that doesn't stop the misfire, I've got a few other leads to chase down. I did a compression test just to be sure and came up with 165,170,170,170. Not too bad considering the hell this motor has been through.

I just wired in my temporary boost gauge, but I still have to run the line under the hood. I tested the gauge yesterday when the car was running before I went through all the work of installing it and wiring it up haha. Now I just need to put the fender and bumper back on... not looking forward to the fender. That thing was a pain in the ass.

So I manned up and put the fender on. Cuz it's freaking beautiful outside today and I wanted to get stuff done.

Too bad the fender is damaged. Oh well, I'm the type to make it fast first, then pretty.

Another quick update :

My new, 100% legally obtained, skid plate. It's the perfect size to cover the oil pan and sensor and go all the way back to the sub-frame.

I wish. lol. I need both of those. I'm about the only guy around my area not afraid to work on an Audi, let alone build one haha.
