I finally pulled the trigger and got into the AC game!

Picked up a practically complete 1963 Bug.
As most of you knew since having my 4th kid I don't have a lot of time, much less energy to do a complete build so had been looking for a car that was mostly complete.
Cory and Tony made a trip over to Idaho a month ago to check out some prospects I had found online.
While in Sandpoint we looked at a 63 that I had actually come super close to buying instead of my Audi a couple of years ago. I ended up passing on it then but as fate had it the car was meant to be mine. While there I gave the guy a good deposit on the car and he gave me a couple of months to pay her off. I had sold one of my Jeeps a little while before the Billings Euro show so was itching to spend that money on a Bug. This 63 was more than I had to spend but was well worth it. Cory and Tony went over the car to make sure everything was tip top shape since I don't know crap about AC's. They said GO FOR IT! So here I am a month later with the following in my possesion!!!!

HUGE PROPS TO TONY and CORY. Especially Tony for making a second trip down last weekend to go over and get the car with me.
Here she is......
These first pix were when Tony, Cory, my family and I went and checked it out a month ago.

Me freaking out that this will soon be MINE!!!!

And of course Tony n Cory with her

And here she is when Tony and I were leaving Sandpoint.....

And at home sittin in her new home....

And a cool Instagram shot that Tony made

I'll update with new pix as weather permits. I've been spending all my spare time driving it

Car currently has a 1200 that will be swapped next year sometime for something with a little more go. The 1200 however did cruise 65-70 all the way home down Hwy 200. I'm soooo glad that Tony and Cory talked me into driving it back for the experience rather than towing or trailoring it back.

It's been converted to 12v and has a decent stereo system installed, don't worry, it's behind the glovebox, not cut into the dash.
Has OEM roof rack which has been refinished. Came with Ski Rack and some old school wooden skis. Has OEM fog and OEM reverse lights. Also scored a Swamp Cooler with it as well!
As you can see in the later pix I also scored a old 7-Up cooler by paying it off a month early

Came with bunch of spare parts and accesories as well. Also came with a full size spare custom wheel.
I'll get some interior, trunk, and engine shots in the next day or two as well and update!
