 That problem was fixed quite a while ago. So, I don't seem to see that...and I can't duplicate the problem with my monitor set on 1024x768. Thoughts?

Hmmmm that is strange. I'm on a computer at work running 1024x768 and it cuts off part of some of the pictures?
Ok, so I just checked on another PC here and it's fine. Maybe it's something to do with running dual monitors on the PC that is having the problem. Not sure why it would do it just because i'm running a dual monitor setup but oh well, sounds like it's nothing on your end!

Ok, so semi update......

Nothing you'll see on the GTI but what will soon be going into the GTI!

Started the strip down of the ABA this afternoon......

Image

Now empty of all electrical, cooling, fuel, and intake......

Hoping to have the engine and tranny out by this weekend so that the shell can go bye bye and I can start building the motor.
Scott and John have to fight over the shell. Both have called dibs on it.
If anyone needs a 8v 2.0 intake, fuel rail, head, or other engine bay items lemme know. I want all the extra stuff gone asap so that I can make room for the rabbit build.
This upcoming weekend is my Wife Jen's last days working because of the pregnancy. This means more wrench time for me as she will be home to watch our 19 month old daughter.
The direction the engine is taking has changed from my original plans because of financial obligations with newborn baby on the way but I still plan to have it running at least N/A if not turbo by next spring.
Alot of work ahead of me but i'll be damned if I am not way behind original schedule! Time to put in work!

Alrighty, so picked up a new family member today. Alot of you knew about her after talking with me at YNP this year but for those of you who didn't, here she is....

92 MKII GTI 8v(for now)

Just bringing her home.....
Image

Sitting at her new home....gotta get my CJ7 outta the garage so I can put her next to the MKI GTI project.

Now she looks alot cleaner than she really is. Interior is in super good shape. Body however isn't. The hood, passenger side fender and door all need to be swapped. Luckily this car included all of those replacements already! However the replacment parts are white so this car will be getting new paint eventually.
Also the front and rear bumpers need some attention. Didn't have a driver side tail light but Jurgen is already taking care of me there. Also needs a new windshield as it's very smashed in(apparently by some punk kids who rocked the windshield) I'll be having Aeron replace it for me fairly soon.
Door handles need replacing too but that's pretty minor.
The 8v motor needs a new head gasket which I'll have taken care of as soon as the gasket kit gets here.
Plan is just to get her running again right now with the current 8v. A motor swap is a must however in this car so i'll be on the lookout for either a VR or a 1.8t. I know alot of you...Brandon....cough, cough.....are like hurry up and finish the MKI GTI which I still am going to do but it obviously has waaay further to go to complete than this one! :ninja:
