First problem, you used lucas oil additive. NEVER use additives. NEVER EVER NEVER.
Can you explain more on what happens? What do you mean oil pressure plummets and it gets all smokey. Is the oil pump failing?

sounds like the additive plugged the filter, or a passage, drain that shit out, put on an oem filter, and some good oil and try again.

What could I use to flush the shit out? Seafoam? I tried a new filter. Not sure where all the smoke is comin from. Oil pressure is crappin out and and temp shoots up.

You need to stop running it and change the oil and filter.DrewG60 wrote:What could I use to flush the shit out? Seafoam? I tried a new filter. Not sure where all the smoke is comin from. Oil pressure is crappin out and and temp shoots up.

Re: RADO IS BLOWING UP! PLZ HELP!
he did stop running ummm GUNK is what i have used in the past on my B5 an it works well. ummm he fixed the pinch in the valve cover gasket. an has a new WIX filter on it now. ummm the oil is consitent on the drive side above the trans. i was thinking head gasket or oil sending unit. but i am not the best with that motor. also with with the temp the car temp its self isnt rising so i am thinking a sensor is cover or pluged or something along those lines. thats what i got figured out. i told him to spray out the engain bay so we can figure where is coming frm or atlest get a better idea but thats the start on it so far.

Drew, It's likely the Lucas additive loosened a bunch of sludge in your motor and your oil pickup screen or oil return passage is clogged up. Really the best fix is to drop the oil pan and clean the pickup screen and tube, but I figure you can try a few things first.
1. Drain the oil and change the filter - drive it and see how it runs
2. If that doesn't straighten it out, look for something called autoRX to do a basic application - add a dose when you add your new oil (Mobile1?) after 3000 miles or so and make sure to follow the instructions. The autoRX will help dissolve the sludge and clean out the motor.
3. Worst case scenario you should drop the pan and check the pickup tube and screen, and you can use really long pipe cleaners or a bike cable to clean the return passage from the head down.

New development...smoke origin seems to be coming from spark plug =/

Seriously. Start taking stuff apart. Drop the pan, check the screen. Also, if it's not getting oil pressure, if you keep running it, you will have a very expensive bill for an engine rebuild or replace.DrewG60 wrote:New development...smoke origin seems to be coming from spark plug =/
Sounds like you could have put way too much oil in.
