Bozeman GTG Ideas

Post by Ramrod »

I've been thinking of a few ideas on things to do for GTG's. So add to them and share your thoughts. Places we could go for a drive, things we could do when we get there, stuff like that.

1. Jackson Creek (someone mentioned this earlier this week, I haven't been up there.)
2. Livingston for either Mark's In and Out Beefburger or The Pop Stand.
3. Ennis for Golf.
4. Virginia City for Homemade Ice Cream and the candy shop.
5. Big Sky for the Wrap Shack and a Beer.
6. If we got really ambitious we could do a cruise through YNP. Maybe for a swim in the Firehole or something.
7. Hyalite when the snow goes away.

I like all of those. I really want to do a camping trip into yellowstone this summer. We should get a weekend and cruise out there and camp and then cruise back. I don't know if everyone is into camping but just throwing it out there.

As far as golf goes, I haven't played in years so I would be the cart driver/ designated drinker

I like all those ideas too. I don't golf either, but hey, I don't have to go.

Another spot to cruise to is the Coral south of Big Sky for lunch.

An idea I was going to throw out was after coffee we drive out to my place of employment for a tour, and then draw a name from a hat for a free dyno run.

I'm up for a tour Joe.

I should define my golf game a bit too. I've got ancient clubs and matching bag. I wack at the little white ball, drink beer, drive around and laugh a lot. I've made up my own way to keep score. There are only 3 possible scores for a hole: the question mark, the period, and the exclamation point. The question mark is for "what the @$%! was that?" The period is for "that went about as well as it always does." And the exclamation point is "wholy $#@!, I just did that!" The system saves you from keeping pesky scores and counting on two hands.

Yeah I really want to do YSNP too, especially if i might not coming back to Montana next year. I would like to do the beartooth highway, but I think im heading home before it opens, or even the Going to the Sun Highway up in Glacier.

And as far as golf goes Wade, just start practicing in your trunk...

I like joes idea! I had thought about that but wasn't going to push it on you. I would just like to see it and walk through, a dyno run would be sweet but if its inconvenient or tedious scratch that.
