Have you looked into reducing the motor mounts?
Thanks for reminding me about that option.
Yes, I have seen this done with mixed reviews on the driveline/A-arm result and handling.
Right now I have the jig completed for the middle mounts and it fits.
I need to install it with some welding and check location.
Then we will see how much room I need.
I also need to complete install of the MKIII strut tower tops.
I know this is going slow, but that might be good because I need to get this part right.
Gotta start putting the time into this...

time should be taken here, no worries. i believe the mk3 tops are larger, you just looking to swap the very top of them? that would be easier for sure.

WHAT!!!!! Come on - this is like reading a novel and having the last chapter torn out.
I knew I should have checked out the last page first.
Anyway - good luck with the build, I'll be watching.

I did get the mkIII upper shock mounts welded into place and the middle subframe mounts bolted down.
Position is good front to back and side to side, but I will need to shim and grind a bit for hood clearance.
And then it sat in the snow all winter and we played hockey and ski'd.
I noticed our new dog has been chewing on the wiring harness(nice), not bad though.
I will start going on it again after ski season is over... Jim

Hopefully you'll keep going on this. One of my favorite builds for sure. Good luck
