SOLD: 2000 MKIV Jetta GL

Post by Mikewire »

I see my Jetta sitting in the driveway, and it's not being driven. It's a great car and I don't want to sell it, but I think I may be forced to just because I want to see it driven and used. It's somewhat of a rare MKIV because it is a drive by cable, not my wire, and there is no SAI (secondary air injection) system.

It's in fantastic mechanical shape, and I would get 360 miles to the tank before fill up (low fuel light) so it gets great mileage. I have always keep up on maintenance including oil changes, a new VR6 clutch/plate and lightweight flywheel, and .:R32 control arm bushings and + more just installed last year. I have a link to a list of maintenance and mods below.

It's a 2.o 5 speed with roughly 138K miles (almost all highway miles).

This is it at the German Car Show in 07:

It now has all black interior including door cards and the fog light and grills have been replaced with stock grills, but all fog wiring is intact.

Here is more info about the mods and work done in my garage profile

Most of you guys have seen it, but if you want more recent pictures just let me know.

How much do you want for it?

I have 4 cars which is ridiculous. I don't want to, but selling the Jetta makes the most sense. If I don't have much interest I will keep it and/or store it somewhere.

Are you looking at getting exactly that price??
My dad is in the market for a new car, that might be a bit above what he can pay - I will talk to you about it on friday =)

I can be a little flexible - If he's interested I can let you guys check it out and drive it of course. I'm hoping to get close to that amount, considering I dropped over $500 last summer on the new clutch and goodies.

Ha Brandon, I wish man. I have too many projects in progress as it is!
