thanks brother, i kinda figured that might be the temp sender. sorry bout that i unplugged the oil sender. lol doing some clean up work. temp sender plug??? good question. i dont even know where that would come from off the harness or what/

thanks for the help. yeah this is actually my 4th MK2 but they have all been Golf gti's, this is my first Jetta and my first 2.slow. Really building it to be my "family car", something sound and dependable so that me and the family can hop in it and travel and look sportin at the same time...
