1983 GTI

104,XXX mi

Runs great!

I need to do a tune up on it.

Interior is all orginal except the shift boot. It must be a OEM replacement of some sort.

Driver seat uphostery needs replaced

Apline Tape player (baller status)

White on Blue

I replaced the timing belt and removed that old/junk A/C pump and fab'd of a longer bracket until I get a diff pully set up.

Replaced the V-belt

The belt is tight but it squeeks on start up.

All guages work except the clock.

There are some rust issues.

Floor is solid.

Rockers are in good condition.

Rear of car is where the bulk of the rust is.

No puddles under car when parked over night.

FRAM OIL FILTERS FTMFL! I need to change the oil anways.

Snowflakes are painted white from the P/O as well as the black stripes.

Tires are shot

I like the car...but I am on the fence about what to do with it. Fix the rust...swap bottom ends...yada yada yada. Id consider trades or sell it. Not parting out. I wouldnt worrie about driving this car anywhere. I have been driving it daily for the past month with no probs.

Runs a lil warm around town, but at norm on highway.

I have not given it a tune up since I bought it. I need to but the other GTI and GLI were taking up some funds. The smashed windshield is replaced with one from the junk yard. There is a chip but it is sealed.

Sebrings are on it now becase the tires are in better shape. If the car sells/traded then the snowflakes will be installed. I need the sebrings for my 90 GLI

$1800 OBO/ TRADE for another VW

okay, so the A/C pump wasnt there...so I cut the pump bracket and made it a little easier to get around it.
The Alpine tape player...big whoop
The shift boot...ya got me there. but it is somekind of OEM replacement.
The windshield is replaced
The idiot who owned it before me painted te black stripes white.
and the wheels...he painted them too :banghead:
