its a different world on your side, yours can pull wheelies much easier, because the car is super light = much less stress on the clutch, the camaro got to be around 3500 maybe a little less. Think you might make it down? it will be a big race and i invite anyone to check it out on one of the two days. sunday should be a better race as its the biggest of the year.

ahh damn i dont have shit for cash right now. i have like 12 dollars in my wallet and a limited budget. as far as my car being light it really is. its gutted to the max! and it has lexan windows and only carries 1. gallons of gas. it lifts the front tires off the ground with a stock clutch. i figured it would slip since the pressure plate is old as hell bit it hooked really well

I decided to take my dash apart and change out the pollen filter that only lord knows was last changed out. As i worked my way through the layers this came to my attention:
Image
Nibbled insulation.. Great. at some point, one of the 2 previous owners had a mouse or critter in the car. I finally decided to remove the rest of the dash panel and see if there was any other problems... to my dismay (And fuel to my growing anger at lack of maintence...)
Image
Wonderful. The mother lode... CRAP!
Long story short,

New pollen filter, and cleaned my dash... Sigh. Used vehicles. I am looking forward to actually maintaining this Bug... like a good VW should be maintained.
