Back up and running. Put the distributor bolts in the wrong holes so the timing was way off. Had a fuel leak but got it fixed. little tuning and a proper intake boot and it'll be back to normal.

:\ So a week ago the rocco started making a rubbing noise pass/front wheel area. A little rubbery a little metallic(The only thing I found was a little access movement with that axle) Then it went away :D . But now it is back....with a vengence  . Now it's really loud. Seems to quiet down on acceleration and is its loudest when the clutch is pressed down and the car is coasting. If the ground is dry enough i'll check it this weekend, garage too full. Does this problem sound familiar to anyone??

Are your lug nuts tight? :ninja:

I would think if it was a CV it would be the opposite, quiet when coasting, loud under load.

Joe is right, I would check lug nuts too, although it might be a bearing, but doesn't really sound like one.

Some new info regarding the squeaking. Lugs were tight. Pulled wheel off, camber bolts tight, axle nut tight, everything tight. There was no visible rubbing. Put wheel back on and test drove it. Noise still there but slightly different than before. Reverse no noise(none that i could hear from the drivers seat), accelerating noise is louder, release the clutch and coast quiets down alot. Brandon I might have to stop by this weekend and do a drive by so you can hear it.

Yo...
I remember a similar noise problem on rear.
It was only under cornering of course,, and i couldn't figure it out forever.
then i realized there were ring inserts on the back side of the wheels to give a solid connection to the hub. I had lost one...
found a couple on vortex and problem was solved.
I'm pretty sure it was on the OZ's and the TSW's didn;t have em... but I may be backwards???/
Check the backs of those TSW's...
but i'm pretty sure those are solld.

Beautiful restore meng!
I miss my old -ex of 10 yrs.

IIRC, TSW's ARE hubcentric, adn do not need rings. At least my 2 sets have never needed them.
