Looks like the Bunny bumpers need some paint. Ask Joe and I how we know....
When you get that guy up and running, we should both take them to a GTG or something. It would be neat to see two identical GTIs.

Re: 76 Scirocco
As usual I am terrible with remembering to take pictures.
I picked up a new daily even though it is the wrong brand. Seems pretty solid now that is has a new clutch along with the necessary head unit and speakers. I might have to try autocrossing an all wheel drive car.

I started taking the Corrado apart to put the engine to good use.

I also started on the Caddy project again. I decided the easiest way to fix all the problems on it was to just pull the engine. I am changing out the soft plugs, updating to 1.6 style alternator brackets, changing out some seals, installing an FF trans, changing out all the hoses, engine mounts, and whatever else I find before it's back together.

I have been busy on Vortex buying up parts to finish out the 84 GTI. I managed to find good A Pillars, ashtray, functional instrument cluster with tach, Eibach sport springs, and a few Mk2 parts for the 92 GTI. Autotech had a pretty good Black Friday sale so I dropped money on a new exhaust, shifter rebuild kit, and some rack bushings. I will get some current pics as soon as I get it back in the shop.
I have also been working on my prepared 81 Scirocco. I managed to piece together a wiring harness, but I would still like to start over from scratch since the PO seemed to like crimp connectors. I added in the Oxygen sensor and some gauges. The engine runs now, but it still needs some tweaks. The suspension has been raised to a useable height and is sitting on the alighnment rack waiting its turn. I took some pictures, but my thumbdrive seems to be corrupted so I will have to get some more when school starts back up.

It is a 98, but the head gasket seems fine. The double overhead cam motor is down 5 ftlbs from the single, but it seems fine. The power to weight is kinda week, 2600lbs for 165 hp, but the torque is way better than my other autocross cars.

Re: 76 Scirocco
Been busy this week. I have the replacement 1.8 ready to drop into the Passat. I ended up ordering a solid flywheel setup since it needed a clutch. The rest of the used engine setup seems pretty solid. I also have a rebuildable 1.8 for another project down the line.
