On motor mounts

i have a question on motor mounts. i did a lil reasearch on the S4 motor mount for my 2000 vw V6 passat an they are saying it a upgrade for it but i talk to my hook up at the VW store here an he looked up the part numbers an the number for the S4 mount supper seads to the same stock OEM for my car so i am woundering for VW is that a good or bad thing? an there seems to be no diffrance by going by the part numbers an he cant find anything to let him know if there is....because i CANT find solad motor mounts for my car what so ever i find them for the older passat but not the B5 tho which is driving me nuts . so if i can get any help from any Audi or VW gear heads to let me know what diretion i should go plz let me know thank you...

x2 - 034 makes good stuff - Your VW guy is correct and the motor mounts for Audi will work. Take a look at the street density mounts:

The stock mounts fail and are oil filled, so when they go it's not pretty. The 034 are solid mounts.

Edit: Don't forget the snub mount.

034 has always done great stuff for me, someone i trust very much on VW"s pretty much.. Ji** his pants when you talk about 034 so id say thats a good thing =)

thata a intresting note of knowlage lol . hope his wife or GF doesnt get toooo jealous lol. well i have a account with them so i can get on there an poke around an emty my wallet on it lol i think i have some more stuff i am going ot be learing lol. John told me about the trans mounts an i just replaced those about two weeks ago an that made a diffrance too but i think over time the engian monts went bad to so i have been hunthing those solid mounts with no luck untill now with the audi think idea whewn i was doing a lil reaseach. i love when i can look at (CAR) porn at work lol!!!
