Re: 99 Jetta -engine issue
Thanks ... the dealer said it was two bad spark plug wires. Cost me two hundred bucks! But it is running nicely again. They also said that the check engine lamp had been removed so my next step is to have someone remove the cluster and replace the lamps so I can see when it is having problems.

99 Jetta -engine issue
Hi, drove my daughters 99 Jetta to Missoula from Seattle without a problem but once here, the engine started missing badly. I think it is a 2 liter, non-turbo model. The car starts and runs OK but knocks badly, rough idle and there is no acceleration. I have to keep the revs up pretty high until I ge...

Re: alternator/generator issue
Thanks for the offer!!! I checked around and there are no alternators in town, I will have one next week. I can still bring the bus Friday or Sunday but I think I will ride with Grant Saturday, certainly would be easier to keep up with you guys in his GTI.

Re: fiberglass camper top
Hey, thanks for all the feedback on my camper top problem. I will try the goof off first but if not then I will try to get it painted. I really don't want to put much time or money on the paint job right now, my bus has higher priorities and I am on a budget but thanks for all the support.

Re: fiberglass camper top
Hi, The bus is/was Mexican beige and it would be cool to have it painted nicely. It is just that it needs a lot of work to get it ready to be painted correctly. For example it needs all new window seals and there is evidence of rust in many places, so I was just thinking of a simple cheap paint job ...

fiberglass camper top
Anybody ever paint the fiberglass shell on a camper top? I had some graffiti sprayed on the white top that won't clean off. The message is offensive so I need to remove it. I was going to get some white fiberglass primer, then brush on a top coat of paint. I don't need this to look really good, just...
