Re: Boned.

Nice, well thank you. Thats just what I need is a someone dependable to work on my car and a little help. Ordered a kevlar timing belt kit from ECS and a lightweight underdrive pulley kit today. Still debating this AEB head.

Re: Boned.

I have one thought as of right now. I guess I've never had ANY work done at a dealership. I'm considering an AEB head but I don't know if a dealership would even want to deal with that. From what I understand all 1.8 heads are interchangeable(yes I know the AEB would also need an intake manifold). B...

Re: Boned.

Yeah I will! Thanks. I have easy access to a car trailer so I'm gonna load it up and take it back to MT I think. It's not really that I don't trust myself to do its lack of time, tools and space to do it in. Hopefully it won't take too long to scrape my pennies along and get it done.

Re: Boned.

I'm almost considering letting it sit for 3 months, saving every nickel and dime I can save and finishing this car. I can't quite part with it yet. That's my baby girl. Maybe BT it. I guess mine as well. At least a K04.

First step: Buy a Bentley. Go from there, I guess.

Re: Boned.

Yikes, I was afraid of that. You know I'm not entirely sure, I would lean towards no haha. Those valves probably need replaced too huh? Maybe even rods :/ I have a buddy from work that said he would help but he doesn't know anything about VW's, more of a diesel guy. Said it probably required special...

Re: FMIC

Like Mike said, most are constructed the same. And unless you're running a BT it isn't really necessary. You don't really need anything extravagant even for a K04. A little guy would probably do what you want it to do. I guess I'm not too familiar with FMIC fitment on a Jetta though. I know for a fa...

Re: FMIC

If you're actually looking for a FMIC the cheapest one I could find is on Black Forest Industries. Still would run you $500 and take some valance hacking.http://store.blackforestindustries.com/ ... rmoin.html

Me again, sorry.

You guy are always so helpful so here goes. On my recent vacation to Iowa my cruise control started to turn off when I hit a larger "dip" in the highway, like over bridges and stuff. Shortly after that I started to hear this loud POP when I went to brake lightly. Kind of payed no attention...

Re: Wheels, not sure...

I am happy to report. The wheels didn't work out. I think I want to order the Kyowa's here soon but I'm skeptical about silver on silver. But I think I might change up the style on the GTI. Scrap the black tails and get JOM M3 style tails. Scrap the black fender and bumper lights and maybe go clear ...
