Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

Haven't posted in a while, haven't done much to the car lately. Changed my mind on wheels again lol. Going with stock Saturn Ion wheels, and put GLX tail lights on. May need to drill the center bore out a little to get them to fit snug on the hubs, as the wheels are not hub centric. Just a photoshop...

Re: volkSWAGEN SweaterVest style

That's a good idea. And yes the holes under the turns/fog lights. I can't find any plastic big enough to fit the holes. Any suggestions on that? I was thinking some plexiglass. Any thoughts on that? your best bet would be go get a donor bumper, and cut the parts out of that. probably wouldn't turn ...

Re: volkSWAGEN SweaterVest style

By side vents, do you mean the holes under the turn signal/fog light area? If so, I would suggest using some wire mesh and an old soldering iron to melt it into the plastic on the bumper and the new plastic bits, kind of like what I did for my grill that I fixed. http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/w...

Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

Not too much going on with the car right now, but I ordered a MK4 cabin air filter and housing for it. Also got started on removing the pinstripes. And replacing the PVC valve is on my to-do list. Also sold my Type-A reps, and decided not to go with the Beretta wheels. Just don't want to do the 5-lu...

Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

So, like, do you mean Chevy Beretta wheels? Yup, I think they look better on a Jetta then they do on the Beretta they originally came on lol. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg31/scaled.php?server=31&filename=bam4.jpg&res=landing I know they're 5 lug, I'm looking into getting some 15mm adapt...

Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

found some Beretta wheels, should be here soon. Now I just need tires, adapters, and hardware, and roll/pull the fenders. Also, got coils on today. http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww18/crazyeyes58703/95f1b50e.jpg http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww18/crazyeyes58703/91d66884.jpg http://i701.phot...

Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

Ugh, after some thinking, I don't think I can get these wheels to work without bodywork beyond pulling/rolling. Just don't think I can get them far enough out. Thinking about just selling the wheels and getting some beretta gtz wheels instead. If I can find any, that is.

Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

Yup, I'm excited. Just have to order a set of strut bearings and my friend will put everything in for me. I just hope that I can pull the fenders far enough to cover the tread.

Re: Boogles' MK3 Build

Decided to give the Nittos a try. Should be here in a few days. Also ordered some new Magnaflow muffler tips to replace the ugly ones on there now, and some OEM reading lights for the back seat. Gotta order a few other things before I put them in, though. Have a few projects in mind that involve tak...
