Re: New TDI

Here it is, the night I bought it. As well as a goodbye picture of my GTI. The 7 years and 120k miles I owned it, it was a great car and I'll miss it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/kaseyandtauni/8BB68DDA-D55B-44AF-A1D1-1119036EC41F-2522-0000064CEF87E6A4_zpsc478f7b5.jpg http://img.photobucke...

New TDI

Hey all, it's been quite a bit since my last visit. Since then I got a new Golf TDI, 6spd, graphite blue. Loving it, almost as much go as the 01 GTI I traded for it, better handling, nicer, and averaging 36.5mpg is nice. Maybe I'll follow along on here and actually get to know some of you. I'll try ...

Re: Heater not warm

If your temperature knob is really easy to spin, it's got something broken. You should be able to tell there is resistance of a flap moving with the knob position.

Also, make sure to use just a drop of Black Automotive RTV at the corners of the half circle part that goes into the extra cutout for the cam.

ouch... cog belt went. I wish I would have just sent my charger out to be rebuilt professionally. I did it with a re-build kit, but either didn't have the knowledge or right type of seals, because it threw them agian right away. So I said, hell I'll just turbo it...... 5 years later, it's still not ...

It is a standard auto with paddles, no DSG. Also, here is my mother-in-law's new car as well. She lives in Glendive. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/kaseyandtauni/DSCF1294.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/kaseyandtauni/DSCF1295.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/kaseyandtaun...

All I really know is it is in your best interest to pull the front of the car off. It can be done with everything in place, but it is a lot easier to do with it gone. At that point it's just parts swapping.

Checking in with an 08 Passat here ;)

too bad the wifey decided she wanted an auto while the baby is a baby and in a car seat. It's OK though it has the updated wheel with paddle shifters which makes it decently fun to drive.
